I believe I only met John once, when he & I were both in the Rusty & Lesa's wedding party. He was my escort. I remember him as a very nice and personable man. I know that he was loved and cherished by his family and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of John's family and friends as they learn to cope with their loss.

I knew John for too short of time, but I will always remember with joy that we shared a table for the wedding of his son and my daughter. It was an honor to know him. John, may you truly rest in peace.

I met John when we were band parents at PHHS. He was always ready and willing to do any type of job he was handed. (I think his nickname was "the stand-man"). He was a tremendous asset to the group of parents who volunteered then. He was a great guy and I know he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

By far one of my favorite memories was when Mr. Blythe took me and Amy to a Bucs game, in that pick up truck. We had such a good time! He was so sweet and caring. I always wished I could of had a father like him.

John was a good father and good son. It was his love for his family that motivated him the most. He always cared very deeply for his family, his mother and father, his wife and children, his brother and sisters. He was the protector of the Blythe clan. If any of the family was in trouble you could always count on John to come to the rescue. He never hesitated or faltered, he just jumped right in and did whatever he could to make things better.
I've known John since I was a teenager and he always spoke his mind without fear. You always knew where you stood with John. He had strong opinions and was willing to back them up. John had great sense of humor and he loved a good laugh and always tried to have fun with those he was around.
You will be missed by all who know you.
God's speed John...
