George was one of the kindest people I ever had the pleasure and privilege to meet in the music business.
He was loved by all who knew him, and never had a bad word for anyone.

Saddened to hear about George. He hired me to start WPDQ FM in 1972. This led to a career for me in the industry but he was one of the best bosses I ever experienced. A wonderful and lovable human.

I fondly remember George as my good neighbor across the hall in the Benjamin Tower for the three years I lived there. He was a Catholic who acted as Rabbi to conduct the Friday night Sabbath service and dinner each week. I also enjoyed his priceless videos of operas from all over the world with his wonderful commentary. One of the best friends I ever had. I miss him and tried to call him on New Years Eve, 2022. I was a friend of George's back when he was in Jacksonville FL. at WPDQ as the Program director. We hung out and went to the drive-in to watch horror movies. every weekend. Didn't really see him much when he moved to Lakeland. But have fond memories of him. RIP George

I'd like to share a memory. I'm so glad George shared his love of opera at Benjamin Towers. He was so knowledgeable. And he made those days a celebration and fun
He is would not only bring
wonderful music, and a movie but also he
provided snacks and drinks. On Friday nights he shared his love for God. He made it possible for those to come together for Shabate and you didn't have to be Jewish to be a part of it. He welcomed all. He also provided Wonderful music and conversation after. He told great stories, we laughed and always had a good time. Thank you George for those wonderful times you provided for Natilie and I. We love you and you will be truly missed. Sing with the angels. Trish L.
