Obituary of Ernest Gorick

Gorick, Ernest of Palm Harbor passed away on March 7 after a long illness. Ernie was born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1928. He is survived by Marjorie, his beloved wife of 40 years and his dear daughter Janice. He was predeceased by his first wife Jane, son Paul and daughter Shelley. He was a graduate of the University of Manitoba and worked as an executive in the pharmaceutical industry. In 1980 RP Scherer built a new plant in St. Petersburg and he transferred there from Windsor, Ontario. After retirement he and his wife spent summers in their home on Lake Erie in Ontario. He is survived by many in-laws including brothers-in-law Gordon, David and Douglas and their wives Maureen, Sue and Judy, sisters-in-law Katherine and Carol and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. He was interested in sports of all kinds and before his illness he liked to golf. He loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Ernie has been cremated and he will be interred in Harrow, Ontario at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Brookside Hospice would be appreciated.
