Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight you see at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
Dearest Roz...
Take strength from knowing that your mum is everywhere and will always be with you.
You have a lifetimes memories to reflect on the wonderful things you both shared. Know that you were a much loved daughter who cared deeply for her mum and you could not have worked any harder than you did at proving your devotion to her...she was a stronger person knowing she always had you to rely on.
Your mum has made the journey we all must make she has gone home and the time is right to say goodbye - miss her but let her go.
Much love,
Roxanne xxxx

As a friend and colleague of Roz's at John Betts School I got to know a lot about her family and particularly her mum, Iris.
Back in 1989 Soli{my husband} and I visited Florida and Roz asked us to take boxes of red label tea for her mum. We spent a wonderful day with Iris and Roy.We swam in their pool and enjoyed a delicious barbecue. We we will always remember their kindness and hospitality.

Hi Iris,
this is the end of a wonderful love story that began back in old England and ends in the sub tropics. From the Lady in The Grove Fish Bar who sat for Lorraine and I to the Woman who made my Dad so happy here. A strong and formidable Woman made at ease and at home with her feet in the her pool amongst her bouginvillea. Rest and peace at last. Your step-son Neil

have such fond memories of my Aunty Inie from staying in her house with my cousins as a child and in recent years enjoying a wonderful holiday in Florida. She made me feel so welcome and I have such treasured memories of my time spent with her; eating the lovely home-made pies, watching series of " Cracker" and generally being cared for and entertained. Always ready for a good conversation and keen to share and hear family news, Inie you be will missed, lots of love Jill

Inie, to me, this isn't goodbye, because as far as I am concerned you are still here in my memory. I will always remember the first time I met you. A young girl playing with a group of friends in Wembly and I asked you, giving you sixpence, to go and tell your sister Bet that I was waiting for her on our date. She came back with the message;"She's washing her hair"! That was 70 years ago and ever since when we met up I patted your bun on your head and you used to say "Hi Chas" and I used to say "Hi Inie". Be thinking of you Inie. Chas

Although it is a long time since I saw my younger sister Inie we had many good memories to share. We laughed a lot, sang a lot and danced a lot at family parties.I was pleased that Inie found happiness in St.Pete's and sorrow that she had to go too soon. In loving memory of my sister Inie from Bet, with love.xx

MUM
Mum I have always loved you
You have always held my heart
Whether I am with you
Or when we are apart
The life that you gave to me
Was one that was the best
And all the things you taught me
Helped me deal with all the rest
The way you dealt with all the pain
Made me feel very proud
You struggled through confusion
That made me cry out loud
You were such a powerful lady
Your presence was so strong
You stood firm in your beliefs
Never putting on foot wrong
When tragedy befell you
You didn't sit and cry
You carried on and dealt with it
And you had your head held high
So mum I want to say to you
Thank you for all you've done
Safe journey now, lifes over
Your new on has just begun.

Full of life and full of fun, my Auntie Iny was a very special individual. She was a ceaseless social activist but at the same time she knew how to party. I have wonderful memories of Iny and my Dad energetically jiving around our living room in the early hours of the morning! She made me very welcome in later years on my regular visits down to Tampa and I treasure the memories of the chats and laughs we had together.
Michael remembers his golfing visit down to St. Petes with his friend Trevor. They were made very welcome.
Our sons Morgan and Owen were sad to hear the news as well and both said what a good sense of humour their Great Aunt had.
With sympathy and love from the Scott-Smietana family,
Vivienne, Michael, Morgan and Owen
