Thank you all for sharing your love with Del. That brought such great joy to her life. Because of her illness she endured much physical pain. And because she loved others so deeply she felt much sorrow when so many were taken from her. But mostly she felt joy from the love of such a large family and so many friends. Her physical heart may have been weakened by illness but her spiritual heart was big and strong. Del just wanted to give love and receive love in return. That was all she really needed or wanted in life. Del was not a saint and did not attend church regularly but her love, forgiveness and compassion for others was truly Christ-like. I have never in my life known anyone who was so full of love.
Del made it easy for me to be her husband. All she ever asked of me was to love her, and how could I not love her? How could anyone not love Del? I looked forward to spending many more years with her and there are so many things that we planned and dreamed of but will never get to do. But yet I feel like I am the luckiest man in the world because I got to spend 30 years at her side.
Del really loved the breeze coming off the Gulf of Mexico. Now when I feel that sea breeze I?ll remember her because that?s what she was like ? warm and gentle, refreshing and comforting and also because she traveled through life like she was riding on a breeze.
There is a circle of life. Del?s spirit departed on October 16th and I believe that a part of her spirit returned on October 22nd in Sonja Anne. Jason, I think you will have your hands full. Just love that beautiful little girl with all your heart and allow her to have her wings because they are angel's wings.
So many of you have asked if there is anything you can do. Just remember Del and how much she loved you and the joy you shared with her through her life. And know how precious everyone in your life is. Give them a hug and let them know that you love them. If you are quarreling with someone, forgive them and let them know that you love them. In the blink of an eye they can be taken from you.

Del, My free spirited friend. You had so many qualities I admired... your laugh, your positive outlook on life, you had that knack to make me feel better when I was having a bad day. You were wise beyond your years! You enjoyed life and lived it the way you wanted. I'm glad you made it to Florida, because that's where you were the happiest. I consider myself lucky to have been your friend for over 30 years. My kids thought you were so funny - we always enjoyed your visits! You were beautiful both inside and out.
I will miss you Del, but I know God has called home one of his Angels.
Luv ya, Patti

To my beautiful cousin Delly, who i had the pleasure of talking to everyday. You had a way of making everyone that you spoke to feel special. You touched so many with your great sense of humor and your hearty laugh and always with an I love you. I will miss your morning wake up calls and your laughter that started my day off with a smile. You always did that for me and it was your gift, I am blessed to have known you my whole life and to have grown up with a true friend that is also my cousin. There was nothing fake about you, what you gave was always real. You are so special and so missed. I hear your voice as if you are standing next to me. Until we meet again my love, I will hold you close in my heart and cherish all that we shared forever. I Love You DELLY GIRL. Your cousin, Sally

Dear Mark,Jason and Sara, How very sad we all are to hear about our cousin Delly. Delly will always be remembered for her quick wit, fast laugh, her comfortable personality and kindness to others. I smile when I think of a 10 year old Delly. She loved to skip, sing and laugh. Her beauty is that she carried these with her into her adult years. Take comfort in the great love she had for each of you. It was very special and was obvious to anyone who knew her.

Delly was the best sister and friend that I could have ever wanted. She was everything that a sister could be and more. She was always loving, never judged anyone, always found the good in everyone, and she loved us all no matter what. Delly always stood with you not against you in whatever situation came your way. She could make me laugh until I cried. I will miss our long conversations that I took for granted everyday. I will miss her laugh and smile and her long black hair that she was so proud of growing! I love you Delly.

Forever Friends,
Kimmy

"Delpha," as we would sometimes called our cousin Delly, always danced to the beat of a different drum. She didn't really care if anyone didn't like her dance, but always enjoyed it when another different drummer came her way.Oh, that laugh of hers when something tickled her funny bone...I can still see her smiling. She told me that I was like the big sister she never had and oh how we commisserated about each other's backs. I totally agree with Christina regarding what a special couple Delly and Mark were. "Sailing along, singing a song, side-by-side." We shall meet again Delpha. Until then, have a blast with everyone up there in Heaven! Lottsa Love, Your Cuz,"Mary Girl!"

I am so sorry about Aunt Del. I remember when Aunt Del and Uncle Mark drove from PA to VA for my husband's birthday party. It was so awesome that they were willing to travel to see us. I got to spend some time with just Aunt Del and talking to her. The one thing that was so powerful was the love that was shown between Aunt Del and Uncle Mark. They were an amazing couple and Aunt Del use to spend so much time talking about how awesome of a husband Uncle Mark was. Aunt Del will be greatly missed! I am sorry Unlce Mark, Jason and Sara
