Obituary of Frank Oliveira

Oliveira, Frank 70, of Pinellas Park, crossed over on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. He was born in Fall River, MA, and moved to Florida in the 1980's. Frank graduated from Carnegie Institute, Boston, Massachusetts. He was a substitute teacher with the New Bedford Public Schools, and he was a volunteer with the Pinellas County Health Department, providing HIV testing and counseling, for which he was honored with the Man of our Community award in 1996. He enjoyed photography, and honed his skills through courses at Southeastern Massachusetts University, in Dartsmouth. Frank was a kind and gentle person, who lived modestly, but was always willing to share with others. He was definitely a gift giver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Leontina Teixeira Oliveira; and his son Glenn. He is survived by his sons Ken and Jeffrey Oliviera; 2 aunts, Alice and Dianne; his nieces Stephanie and Sheila. He will also be missed by his many friends, including Brad Griffin and Don Gohlike. There will be a memorial service at St. Giles Manor, 5041 82nd Ave N, Pinellas Park on Friday, January 25th, at 4:00 PM.
