Dear Gail and Patty, I am so sorry for your sudden loss. It was such a shock to hear this news. Bruce was always on the ball taking such great pictures at your cookie swap.
I'm really glad I got to see him at this past cookie swap. He will be greatly missed by all. Bonnie Burton

Gail,
We are so sorry for your loss; it was such a shock. After being at your house for the Christmas cookie swap, Bruce immediately sent us pictures. He was always quick to share and enjoyed so much bringing into work all the goodies that you had made. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Bruce will be truly missed. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

I first met Uncle Bruce 30 years ago when he married my Aunt Gail. He was our wedding photographer shortly after they were married, One thing that I loved about him was his love of animals. Any man that could treat cats the way he did was definitely a kind person. I always looked forward to their visits to PA and all the running around we did, all the trips down the "valley", lunch at Miller's Diner and just being together. I have many fond memories of Uncle Bruce and will miss him very much.

Bruce was my big brother and I'm so sorry we didn't have a chance to say goodbye. I hope he knew how much I loved him, even if I didn't tell him often enough. Growing up we had our usual spats, like every brother and sister. Bruce was 5 years older than me so I'm sure he thought of me as a pesky little sister when we were growing up. As an adult I realized that Bruce was a very kind fellow and didn't have a mean bone in his body. I've always been so happy that Gail came into his life. Bruce always did good by people and it was so wonderful that he had Gail to appreciate him as the wonderful man he was. Thank you Gail for making my brother a very happy man!

My favorite memory of Bruce was the time he led a caravan of friends with small trucks over to Gail's storage unit for their annual Christmas decorations pick-up. It always touched my heart to see how much care and attention he took setting up Gail's Christmas village each year. No easy task, which took maybe a week to accomplish. I thought about most of the other men I knew who would be complaining if they had to do that, but there was Bruce, kind-hearted as Santa himself, who loved Gail so much and gladly did this for her year after year because he knew how much Christmas meant to her. You were one of a kind Bruce and you will be greatly missed!

Bruce, you are missed terribly and I was so fortunate to have you as a friend. The old monthly gatherings of the astronomy buddies were really a great time together when we'd drive up to Clearwater or Dunedin and share in food and conversation - not always about astronomy. Your jokes and laugh were infectious. What fun we had. Plus, you kept me updated on the latest in astronomy by the sharing of your online science newsletters. I will think of you each time I read a new one.
When I first started using computers Bruce was my IT department. He was so far ahead of me in technology. He helped me get some software rewritten I've been using for 20 years. It seemed so easy when Bruce did it. The best time to get Bruce to help was during Gail's Cookie Swaps - we'd sit on the sofa purportedly playing with his latest laptop but he was showing me a lot.
Goodbye, my friend. I'm sure I'll find you in the stars.
Ronnie
