Obituary of John Joseph Regan

Regan, John Joseph - 64, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Jan 29th, 2012. He was a US Marine Corps veteran (1965-1968). He served in active combat for 13 months including the Tet Offensive and was discharged with the rank of Lance Corporal. He received the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service medal, the Vietnam campaign medal, the Meritorious Mast and the Good Conduct medal. After the service, he became a police officer and later became detective on the Bayonne, NJ Police Department where he served for 16 years. John was known for his friendliness and sense of humor. He also enjoyed fishing. John was predeceased by two children, Colleen Regan and Jude Regan and a sister, Carole Regan. He is survived by his wife Sophie, daughters Dayna Regan, Alyssa Garner, Shannon Rivera, son Justin Regan, brother Michael Regan and sister Debbie Regan. Services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on February 17th at 11:00am.
