Obituary of Fern Westcott Rupp

Rupp, Fern Westcott 83, of Gulfport, FL passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 2, 2010. She was born March 28, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank J. (Fern) Westcott and graduated from DeVilbiss High School and Denison University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Fern relocated to Florida in 1976 and resided at Isla Del Sol in St. Pete, where she was an avid golfer and President of the Ladies Golf Association. She enjoyed sharing her great style with customers while working many years at Casual Corner and Petite Sophisticates. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Frances W. DiTirro and her older sister, Roberta W. Maxwell. She is survived by her devoted daughter Karen Rupp of Gulfport and son Frank "Westy" Rupp (Caroline) of Palm Springs, CA, and nieces and nephews. She is remembered for her ever-present smile, her love of life and her God. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 4 pm until service time at 6 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice or Alzheimer's Association.
