Obituary of Ruth E. Mellessey

RUTH E. MELLESSEY of St. Petersburg, Florida received her beautiful wings on April 17, 2013. Ruth moved to St. Petersburg in 1969, coming from Minnesota. Ruth was a homemaker and loved cooking, knitting, making clothes, going to church, singing, and traveling, with Hawaii being her favorite trip. Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, who was a decorated WWII veteran, and her loving daughter, Carolyn. Ruth is survived by her loving children, Helen; June; Richard; Billy and Mike of St. Petersburg, and her daughters in Minnesota, Sharon and Shirley, together with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many friends at the New Castle Retirement Home, where Ruth resided. We will miss your mesmerizing blue eyes and the love you gave us. You are the stars to us now and one day, we will see you again. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The New Castle Retirement Home, 6425 Emerson Avenue So., St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Service will be held by Pastor Tim Whipple of Bridgepoint Church.
