Obituary of Cheryl *Cher* Sapper

Cher Sapper 65, of St. Petersburg, passed away Saturday, March 23 at her home with her beloved dog Toby by her side. She came to Florida in 2003 with her husband Charlie from Battery Park City, New York, NY. Cher was born in Maryland on January 14, 1948 and grew up on the Eastern shore and attended the University of Maryland. In every wonderful sense of the phrase, Cher was a true New Yorker and a brave 9/11 survivor. Friends and family enjoyed her gracious entertaining and gourmet cooking. Cher loved her family beyond measure and truly enjoyed the time she spent golfing with her friends. As a firm supporter of the Humane Society and Parkview Animal Hospital, Cher always had one lucky canine companion with her at all times. She will be greatly missed by those who survive her: daughters Sonia Riggs of Newport, RI. and Lisa Kiechel of Lincoln, NE, son-in-law Buck Kiechel, grandchildren Luke, Isabel and Graham Kiechel of Lincoln, NE., mother Rita James of Salisbury, MD., sisters Vicky Lovett, Candy Loring, and brothers Mike Bower, Craig Bower, Chuck Bower, numerous nieces and nephews as well as her devoted her canine companion, Toby. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Sapper, her infant son Randy, her beloved brother Ronnie and father Claude along with her precious dogs, Maddigan, Molly & Bailey. A service celebrating her life will be held at Dolphin Cay on Saturday, May 18 from 5-7 PM for family and friends. "She loved well, and was well loved, by all who knew her."
