Charles “Charlie” Bandel, age 80, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on October 17, 2023, from complications of Parkinsons.
Charlie grew up in Havertown, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, Charlie was drafted by the Army where he served at West Point as a military police officer. After his military service, he attended college at LaSalle University and after graduation, he was offered a position with the Internal Revenue Service as a special agent in the Criminal Investigation Division. He moved his family to Florida in 1978 where he continued to work with the IRS until his retirement in 1997.
Charlie was an avid saltwater fisherman and his daughter Melissa was his “fishing buddy”. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement by working out in the gym, playing golf, traveling and going out to dinner with his best buddies. He was very proud of his children and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Survivors: Son Charles “Chuck” Bandel, daughter Melissa Mulvaney, Brother Jack Bandel and three grandchildren.
