Obituary of Jodie Ray Stout

Jodie Ray Stout, was born on January 4, 1971. He was born in Chanute, Kansas and  was raised and lived most of his early life in Earlton, Kansas. On September 27, 2023 he left this earth to join both sets of his grandparents along with his uncles. He is survived by his wife Laura Craft Stout, Children; Masson (Chrissy) Stout of Ridgecrest, California, Morgan (Jacob) Jones of Hahira, Georgia, Tristen (Kaitlyn) Stout of Seffner, Florida. He leaves grandchildren; Austin, Aden, Alec, Aric, Aria, Riley, Weston, Wyatt and one little Stout who is in his way. He also leaves behind his father; Sam Stout and his partner Jenefer Greene of Earlton, Kansas, his mother Deborah Ogle Stout and his birth mother Susan Patton, both of Chanute, Kansas. Lastly, he leaves his siblings Tiffany (Ben) Belcher of Valrico, Florida, Tony (Denise) Stout of Ealton, Kansas, Tommy (Susan) Stout, Jeff (Tracy) Stout and BJ (Victoria) Stout all of Chanute, Kansas and also many beloved nieces and nephews. 

In 1989 he moved to Wichita, KS right after high school to attend a 2-year Mechanic vocational school, where he earned his ASE Master Technician certification (Automotive Service Excellence certification). Returning to his hometown area shortly after and going to work for Ranz Motor Company in Chanute, Kansas. After 2 years working for Ranz, Jodie decided to open his first shop in Earlton, Kansas until 2005. In Kansas Jodie got involved driving and working on stock cars. Jodie was a member of NRA & a gun enthusiast.

After moving to Tampa FL, he worked for Tuffy Automotive for a little over 2 years before opening Stout's Auto, Inc in Clearwater, FL in 2009. A few years later in 2012 he opened Stout's Auto & Tire in Largo. In business Jodie always tried to be honest and kind. Helping many people out when he could. He always said that if he couldn't fix something it either wasn't broken or couldn't be fixed. 

Fishing and being in a boat on the ocean was how he relaxed. In 2018 Jodie decided he wanted to learn to scuba dive and received his license. He was able to dive in a few other countries. In 2021 he decided to start a charter boat in Fort Meyers, FL. because of his love of fishing.

He enjoyed vacationing and traveling with family whenever he could get away. Taking an RV cross country a few times. Taking the family on vacation to Mexico, cruises and traveling to see family was important to him.
