Obituary of Lynne Lee Barko

Lynne Lee Barko of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the age of 79. Lynne was born in Canton, Ohio, on August 22, 1944. She is preceded in death by her parents, Yvette (Keats) Siemering and James Ecrement. She is survived by her sister, Jill (Bruce) Deyo of Lebanon, Ohio; her children William (Anne) Remias, Jr., of Dublin, Ohio, Cristina Barko, and Benjamin Barko, both of Clearwater, Florida; her grandchildren, Carrissa Barko, Rachel Remias and Ryan Remias; as well as nieces and other extended family,

Born in Canton, Ohio, Lynne attended Perry High School. She remained in Canton upon marrying William Remias, but later moved with her second husband, Dennis Barko, to Troy, Michigan, and Cincinnati, Ohio, where she raised her children. Always drawn to the sun and surf, Lynne followed her dream and moved to Clearwater, Florida, in 1997, where her best days included time on the beach watching the sunset with family. Lynne was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. She had an infectious laugh and a way of managing life with a comforting ease and grace that served as an example for her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clearwater.

The family will host a private interment at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.
