Obituary of Gretchen Harrington

Gretchen George Harrington “Ge Ge” of Largo, Florida February 13,1932. Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at Empath Suncoast hospice in Pinellas Park on September 3, 2022 at the age of 90.

Born and raised in Philipsburg, PA she was a daughter of the late J. Lester and Margaret K. (Rombach) George.

Gretchen graduated from Philipsburg High School. She married Michael J. Harrington on February 7, 1959 in Baltimore, MD. Gretchen is survived by her 3 daughters Margaret Kaline her husband Gary of Pasadena, MD; Patricia Dixon her husband Charles of Largo, FL; Mary Harrington of Severn, MD; her sister Judith Besket and her husband Joseph, of State College PA; a granddaughter Rebecca Morales and her husband Jonathan of Stevensville, MD.

Gretchen enjoyed puzzles, an occasional Baileys Irish Cream, spending time with her family and her beloved grand puppy Joey.

A service will be held at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery on Friday October 14th at 11:30 am.

She is to be laid to rest with her late husband “Mike”. Honoring Gretchen’s request, there will be no public viewing.
