Obituary of Isabelle T Regester

Isabelle (Szuba) Gorzka Regester, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed peacefully on November 22, 2021.  Isabelle was 98 years old.  Born June 18, 1923 to Theodosia (Gielnak-Szuba) Cieszewski and Felix Cieszewski.  Isabelle was married to John A Gorzka for 55 years.  Following John’s passing, Isabelle married Ken Regester. Sadly Ken died 2 years later.  

Isabelle had 4 children, John, Maryann, Jim and Marlene.   Six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  Son John (Patricia High) have one child Julia (Brett) Freeman, son Jack.  Son Jim (Claudia Rydzewski)  have three children Nicole (Rick) Kelley and children Whitney and Carson;  Alison (Greg) Gillam and children Hayden, Hunter and Harris; Scott and children Avery and Emery.  Daughter Marlene ( Michael Sullivan)  have two children Meghan (James) Thompson, and children Amelia and Ramona; Matthew (Holly) Sullivan, and children Madison and Harrison.   

Isabelle was an impressive lady. Throughout the years she enjoyed playing scrabble, pinochle, kings in the corner, ceramics, bowling, golf and horseshoes and many activities at her Clearwater Florida home in Shady Lane Village.   She won her last horseshoe tournament in her mid 80s.  The activity she enjoyed most was spending time with her family.   

Isabelle was a graduate  of LaSalle High School, class of 1941.  Isabelle worked for many years at City Hall in Niagara Falls, NY prior to her retirement to Clearwater, then Tampa, Florida. 

Isabelle was predeceased by her parents Theodosia (Gielnak Szuba) Cieszewski and Felix Cieszewski, her husband John A Gorzka and Ken Regester, sister Thelma (Cieszewski )Litwin and niece Ann (Litwin) Rubin, and her daughter Maryann.   Burial will be in Bay Pines National cemetery, Florida.  No prior visitation.  

Isabelle will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren .  ❤️
