Obituary of Max Meimann

James Philip “Max” Meimann went peacefully to be with The Lord on October 30, 2021 at the age of 89.

Beloved husband to Jeanne; Loving father of Pasha Meimann and Patti Galvin; Proud grandfather of Jeanne Hawkins; Julia Klein and Brandon Robertson.

James “Max” met Jeanne in High School in Covington, Kentucky and were each other’s first date. After high school he joined the Army and was sent to Korea where he was injured receiving a Purple Heart. He spent a year in hospitals recovering from his injuries. Upon his return he went to Villa Madonna College to study business. After graduation he moved to Chicago working for Florsheim shoes. When he returned to Covington he reconnected with Jeanne. They were married on February 29, 1964.

They moved to Temple Terrace Florida in 1970 becoming members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. They served the church by volunteering for offertory duties and the Young at Heart group where they could be seen Jitter Bugging the night away.

James “Max” was a friend to all. He left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be missed immensely. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and all that he taught us through our actions and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic, 9715 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, FL 33617 on Saturday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m
