Obituary of Rita Fleming

Rita Anne Ragsdale Fleming, 78, of Tampa passed away on October 21, 2021. Rita was born to Thomas E. and Lucille Kennedy Ragsdale on December 22, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio . Graduating from University of Illinois 1965, Rita received a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Rita was married to Joseph E. Fleming for 29 years and they had 2 children together. Rita is survived by Christina Fleming (Jeff) Kade of Georgetown, Texas, David C. (Marilu) Fleming of Little Elm, Texas and grandchildren: Seth, Johnny, Daniel, and Alana. Rita was a lover of English. Rita made certain both of her children’s assignments were turned in with proper grammar. Rita bestowed her love of poetry and Shakespeare upon her son, David. Her daughter, Christina, pursued her love of English as a journalist and editor. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
