Obituary of William Robert Flaska

William Robert Flaska “Flash”, 76, of Seminole, passed away May 14, 2021 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas. Born July 24, 1944 and raised in Cicero, IL, where he attended Morton East High School, Flash raised his family in a Northwest suburb of Chicago, Mt. Prospect, where he spent nearly 25 years working for Xerox Corporation in Chicago and after retirement worked numerous Security details. After his working years he moved to Florida after his children were grown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorene Flaska; his parents William Sr. and Catherine Flaska; and his brother Robert “Bob” Flaska.

William joined the United States Army after graduating High School and was a Vietnam veteran. Flash loved chess, bowling, reading, sports trivia and watching sports; he absolutely LOVED the Chicago Cubs!

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Tracey Flaska Brown (Adam), Ryan Flaska (Karen), Lauren Flaska (Nick); grandchildren Connor Brown, Kaylen Brown, and Michael Flaska

A committal service will be held on Friday, June 18th at 10am at Bay Pines National Cemetery
