Obituary of Philip James Kenyon
Philip James “Buddy” Kenyon went to be with his Lord on May 31st, 2023.
Phil was born in Washington D.C. on December 11, 1940. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Evelyn Kenyon; his son, Steve; his daughter, Chrissy.
He is survived by daughter, Cheryl Bissett and family; granddaughter, Christa Kenyon; sister, Donna Watts and family.
Phil served in the U.S. Army, with assignments in Europe as part of the Signal Core. In 1973, he moved his family to Florida and never left. He loved living by the water, walking on the causeway and eating blue crab and grouper. When his children we young, he coached youth football and enjoyed taking them camping.
Phil was a dedicated and loyal employee, working in the publishing, book sales and printing business. Along the way, he owned an ice cream shop and clothing store at the Sponge Docks.
Buddy never forgot his old friends and cherished his memories of growing up in the 1950’s. He was in close contact with many of his childhood friends up until his passing.
He will be in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace POP, we will see you on the other side. Auf Wiedersehen.
