Obituary of Jan Donald Knigge

Jan Donald Knigge, 71, passed away on May 29, 2023. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Michele Collins Knigge, whom he married on May 27, 1977. He attended Leto High School in Tampa, Fla., graduating in 1969. He earned bachelor’s degrees from FSU in Music and USF in Environmental Psychology. He was a member of Sigma Nu at USF. He then received a Master’s in Human Services Administration from Springfield College in Tampa, Fl. He owned a successful pharmaceutical businesswith his partner and good friend, Don Chylsta. After selling that company, he went on to become a paramedic and ENT, as well as an entrepreneur involved in several businesses. In his spare time, he taught music at Bringe Music in St. Pete and was a memberof the 2nd Time Arounders Marching Band, playing the trumpet. His friends and family will miss him, including Dave and Marcie McGregor and Patty Smith. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to SPCA
