A courageous woman who always seemed to have a smile on her face and a taste for adventure.
I admire your braveness as you set off on an adventure half way across the world, well before we had internet or Airbnb.
I appreciate your generosity and hospitality whenever you hosted myself and our family.
You are a well loved sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and aunt. May you rest in peace now savouring the memories of a life well lived. Love from Troy, Annelie, Alexandra and Theodore.

For my Grandma Leeley,
Though we couldn’t see each other as much I we both would have liked, I hold onto those many moments we did share more closely to my heart. I loved how she called me ‘Molly Bea’ with that Australian accent of hers, I remember that I always wanted to talk like her but I failed at replicating her accent miserably. One of the oldest memories I have of her was when we all went to this fancy restaurant at Disney world. I wasn’t used to going to such a fancy place especially as at such a young age, I didn’t want to be out of place so I when I took a sip of my drink I would have my pinky finger up, in that moment I felt like a distinguished young women. And my Grandmother loved that, she thought that was the funniest thing ever, and when we met up from then on she’d always mentioned that story with smile. Till this day I still lift my pinky finger up to drink like that little girl years ago and I think of her every time with a smile. Grandma Leeley was such a loving and caring women, the best grandmother I could of asked for in this life, there was never a time where I didn’t feel her love through her calls, texts, and cards that she sent. I still hold onto the last card she sent me, it was for my 18th birthday and even though her health wasn’t the best she still made sure to wish me a happy birthday, I keep that card next to me on my nightstand, and every time I’m having a bad day or I really need encouragement, I read it and it gives me so much peace like she’s still here with me.
I miss you so much everyday Grandma Leeley,
Love from your one and only Molly Bea.

Leeley you were such a kind, compassionate, adventurous, strong, intelligent, and amazing woman, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. I have enjoyed the time we have spent together over the years. I think my most favorite thing was how you could keep your son on his toes and love my children like only a Grandma could. They love you and are going to miss you. They enjoyed hearing stories about how you grew up, the adventures you have taken, flying your plane, and especially the stories and photos you shared about their Dad as her grew up. I thank you for everything you have done over the years, but most of all making me feel loved and a part of your family. Your sense of humor was second to none. I see it in your son quite often. Your love for your family was evident each time we saw one another or spoke on the phone. I hope that you are now free of pain and at peace. Please watch over Chuck, Alexis, Molly, Marcus, and Malaki. You are loved beyond measure and forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace Leeley.

My Aunty Lee, we always had fun times together, we always had a lot to share with each other, talk about and laugh about.
I will remember all the good times we spent in Sydney and in the US, having you at our wedding and sharing all those birthdays with Pete!
My favourite memory is flying with you over Ithaca Finger Lakes in your plane. What an adventure!
I really valued the relationship we shared. You were an amazing and generous person. I was lucky to have you as my Aunty.
We will miss you and hope you are at peace. Love Mel and Pete xo.

My Sister Leeley, she loved to laugh
A sister is someone who loves you from the heart,
She is a joy that cannot be taken away,
Once she enters your life, she is there to stay
Dear sister, I thank heaven for having such a wonderful sister like you, I find comfort in all the memories we have made and what stays behind. All the times we have spent together, sadly not long enough, barely a third of our years together following your journey and new adventure to the US those fifty odd years ago. Your passing is heartbreaking to us all.
From across “The Pond” in down under our Saxby family, our cousins and your friends are grieving for you.
Our thoughts and prayers go to Chuck and family, all your lovely friends, those at Chapel By The Sea, St. Brendan’s and your fellow residents and staff at Horizon House,
As we mourn we remember your lovely soul, and I thank God that I had one excellent sister, Leeley God bless you and may your soul rest in peace.
Love Colin,

To a Very Special Woman and my wonderful Mother.
I am so grateful for the times that we had together and even though our time was cut short I know that your time here on earth was spent wisely as you have touched many peoples hearts and have spread happiness and joy. I am also grateful that my children have had you in their lives. I will never forget the joy that was in your eyes and my children's eyes when we visited or spent time together. They truly enjoyed their time spent with Grandma Leeley. I find myself smiling all the time as I watch your Grandchildren go through life because they remind me so much of you and I couldn't be more proud of that fact. I have many great memories of my Mom. We went on many vacations and traveled the country. But the most special moments to me are when we stayed home binge watched Murder she wrote eating Bridge mix chocolates. We would laugh, joke, act silly, and have meaningful conversations just you and I No pressure, just time filled with love and joy. Thank you for always being there for all of us.
Rest in Peace my beautiful mother.
I love you Mom.
Your son,
Chuck

Leeley and I go back at least 22 years when I first met her at St. Brendan's RCIA. A lady with a ready smile and big heart. We spent a lot of time together with all of our outreach activities at St. B's. We had a going away party for Leeley when she decided return to Australia to help her mother. We would email each other regularly across the "pond" I was so glad when she returned to Island Estates to live. There were some difficult years for Leeley with her health issues, but she was always ready with a big smile. Rest in peace Leeley, you fought the good fight and are now at rest in heaven. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
