Obituary of Christopher Woodruff

Woodruff, Christopher, 56 passed away peacefully at his home on January 28, 2023.

 

Born in Levittown Pa, he moved to Largo, FL and graduated from Largo High School in 1984. He spent the remainder of his life in the Clearwater and Palm Harbor areas.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary (Welch) Woodruff and one brother, Michael Woodruff.  Chris is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Woodruff, his son Ryan Woodruff, his daughter Shannon Woodruff and siblings Mary Woodruff Sock, Harry Woodruff, Nancy Woodruff Tiernan, Patrick (Ann) Woodruff, John (Maureen) Woodruff, Joan Woodruff DeFelice and Matthew (Betzy) Woodruff. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 

Chris was a charming, outgoing individual and enjoyed talking to people. He had a curiosity about all things, he loved music, was a voracious reader, and was seldom seen without a book. Chris was especially interested and very knowledgeable about history. He had a quick wit, a broad sense of humor and was a great story teller. Chris had a kind and generous heart and a great love for his family. Although Chris was the youngest of nine, he was held in high esteem by his older siblings and was without a doubt everyone’s favorite brother. He was often sought out by his family for his sage advice and honest opinion. Chris was a man of humility, who faced adversity and his health challenges head-on with grace and dignity.
