Obituary of Joyce A Minogue

Joyce A. Minogue “Joy” was born January 16, 1943 in New York City to Daniel Minogue and Rita Starr Minogue and was the youngest of four daughters. Her parents came to America from Ireland and Joy, who was very proud of her Irish heritage and to honor her parents arranged for their names on the wall of Ellis Island. Joy and her sisters attended Sacred Heart in the Bronx and she briefly attended Hunter College but went to work at New York Bell. She retired from the company at the age of 48 and a few years later moved to the Townshores community in Gulfport where she lived for over twenty years. Joy was pre-deceased by her parents and older sister, Rita Brown. She is survived by her sisters Mary Cory and Claire Minogue, nephew Jim Brown and nieces, Karen (Brown) Gilmore, Tina (Cory) Anderson and Kathy Cory.
