Obituary of Robert W Pettengill

Robert W. Pettengill, 57, of New Port Richey, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.  Robert was born on March 25, 1965 to the late Robert L. and Claire (Hammerli) Pettengill.  He graduated from Guilderland High School and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Siena College.  Rob worked in sales throughout his professional career and his friendly, helpful demeanor made him a great asset to the companies for which he worked.  Rob loved relaxing times vacationing at the ocean and spending time with family and friends.  He was a great friend and treasured his many lifetime friends who, along with his family, were a huge part of his support system during the past few months.  Rob’s warm smile, joyful laugh and quick wit brightened any room he entered.
Rob is survived by his sister, Barbara L. Pettengill of Ballston Lake, NY; his aunts, Barbara L. (James Oppedisano) Hammerli of Longs, SC and Patricia Pettengill of Conway, SC.  He is also survived by many cousins.  His kindness and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Jonesville United Methodist Church, 963 Main Street, Clifton Park, NY 12065 in the fall.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Center for Disability Services Foundation, 22 Corporate Woods Blvd., 5th Floor, Albany, NY 12211.
