Obituary of Elizabeth Arlington

Arlington, Elizabeth “Betty”, 83, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away July 1, 2022, at Cypress Palms Assisted Living Facility.

Born and raised in Ireland, she moved to New York when she was 18 and then to St. Petersburg, FL in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arlington, her son, Brendan Arlington, and her step-son, Brian Arlington. Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law, Gina Arlington, step-son, Charles Arlington and his wife Cindy Arlington, sister-in-law, Marianne Miller and her husband John Miller, nieces, Mary Kate and her husband Christian and Susan and her husband Billy, great niece, Lindsey, grandchildren Savannah & Sean, Chad & Christine, Tyler & Lauren, great-grandchildren Emily, Leiland, Lydia, Owen, & Ryan.

Betty was a kind and compassionate human, selfless when it came to her family and a true lover of conversation. She loved to shop, finding the right gift or “just because” for her loved ones was a reward. Betty especially loved New York City for all its grandeur, shops, theater and of course shopping. Her time in New York was one she often spoke about with her grandchildren. Betty was a hard worker, true companion, and amazing storyteller.

Betty loved her son, Brendan more than anything. Her grandchildren receive the same unconditional love. She will be remembered in our hearts, through our conversations and memories of her.

Betty’s celebration of life will be Friday, August 26, 2022, 11:00am-1:00pm at The Oleander Center at Five Towns and then will be placed with her late husband, Charlie, at Bay Pines Cemetery.
