Martin Chandler

Obituary of Martin Edward Chandler

Martin "Marty" Chandler, loving husband and father went home to be with Our Lord on June 10th, 2022. He leaves behind a long list of family and friends who will miss his kind and nurturing spirit, his perfectly timed wit and endless sense of humor, and his unending support and love for all whose lives he touched. Marty had a way of turning bad times into good, sad times into joy, and had a spirit that will live on through his legacy. For the past 18 years, Marty has been a never-ending supply of love and laughter to his wife, Kimmy and a doting daddy to his beautiful daughter, Alex. Marty is also survived by his mother Carolyn Chandler, sister Molly (Greg) Merlo, niece Addie Merlo, nephew Ben Merlo, uncles Lynn Martin, Harold (Linda) Martin, and Ray (Lanice) Chandler, aunt Shirley (Jim) Simpson, and many cousins and friends. His unexpected and untimely death has left a huge hole in all of our hearts that none could ever replace. His work in Airships and Aerostats was unmatched by anyone, and he left a void in the industry that will not easily be filled. Marty was a patriot who loved God and His Country. He cared about the state of affairs, and the people who were affected by them. But more than all of these things, Marty was a quiet source of support; a rock for his family and friends. He loved his family with all of his heart, and gave everything to ensure we were cared for. He encouraged us to follow our hearts and dreams, and will forever be the "Man Behind the Mission". Without his love, dedication and unconditional support, there would be no "FLUFF". He was a quiet supporter of the cause, and a constant source of strength and selfless generosity. He was a proud graduate of Auburn University's Aviation Management program (War Damn Eagle!), and an amazing pilot who took to the sky like he was made to fly. A Public Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bridgepoint Church, St.Petersburg, FL, June 17th, 2022 at 4pm EST A Burial Service will be held for close family and friends in Anniston, AL June 24th, 2022 We all miss you here Marty, but know that one day very soon, we will see your loving face and those mesmerizing crystal blue eyes again. Please do not worry about us, Marty, we will carry your love and support with us...till we meet again, all our love.
