Obituary of Barbara Vegter

Barbara Jo Vegter also known as Barb, Babs, and Mamma Bear. Barbara was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 10th 1962. This extraordinary, divine, loving, miraculous, sweet-hearted soul journeyed peacefully in her sleep to heaven at the age of 59 on January 31, 2022 in Clearwater Florida in her own home. Barbara is survived by her mother Mable Cole; her brother Robert Cole, and her sister Carol Guyton. Her children Rachael Vegter and Daniel Vegter. She graduated high school from Forest Hills Central High School. Barbara then pursued a career in insurance. She always wore her smile that lit up the room even when in chronic pain, and times were tough. Her heart was bigger then the moon! Blessed with always seeing the glass half full! Gifted to always be calm, and collective to be able to find the silver-linings. She was intelligent, loving, miraculous, athletic, gifted in writing, speaking, singing, and dancing! She loved going to the beach, shelling, crafting, art, projects, cutting tile, electronics, computers, nature, animals, laughing, and she loved LOVE. Her favorite song she sang to her children was “Joy to the world”. She could do anything when she put her mind to it, and would Never Give Up! One of her favorite sayings she said often was, “If there’s a will, there is a way!” She was is known for being independent, resourceful, loving, caring, helpful, and courageous! When someone encountered an embarrassing problem or dilemma. She never judged anyone, which made her easy to talk to. When anyone, family, friends, or even a random complete stranger was in trouble, and needed help she was always there. Some of Barbara’s gifts of compassion, understandings, and love may have been derived through many of her past hardships of extremely difficult times. However, she never had any excuses and still managed to keep her chin up! Barbara naturally spread great vibes, happiness ,and positive attitude! As a person with all her great deeds she will continue to grow, and ripple throughout time forever!
