Obituary of Steven J Rath

Steven J Rath, 54, of Largo, passed away at his residence on February 17, 2022. Steven is a Florida native born on April 10, 1967, at Suncoast Hospital and remained a local in Largo since 1986, when he moved here from Augsburg, Germany. He is predeceased in death by his mother; Kit M. Rath. Steve is survived by his father Damon F. Rath; son: Devin Rath; daughter: Brittney Rath; siblings Michael Rath, Chris Rath and Brandy Downing. He has a surviving niece and nephews. In his younger years, he participated in high school football and swimming meets. Steve worked as a carpenter for most of his years and also developed skills in machinery and as an auto mechanic in his later years. He did his best to help others in need and would give the shirt off his back. His love for sharing a home cooked meal brought family together and will always be cherished. Steve enjoyed wakeboarding, skiing, listening to music and relaxing. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
