Obituary of Shirley Hawse

Shirley Hawse, 77 years young, peacefully passed at her home on the Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022.

Shirley is survived by her mother, sister, son, grandchildren, daughter in law, Ms. Kitty, and too many more to mention.

Shirley was born in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and spent most of her childhood and adult life in the area. After her husband passed away in 2001, she moved to the Florida Gulf Coast to be closer to her son, daughter in law, and grandchildren. She spent much of her life serving people as a nutritionist for colleges and hospitals. She donated to many causes throughout her lifetime. She was a big advocate for the ASPCA.

She was a generous, kind, and loving individual who would always take time to listen to people and offer words of encouragement and positivity, even in the toughest of times. She was the cornerstone of the family and was highly respected by her family and friends. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and do the right things in all situations.

She molded her son and grandchildren with her values and commitments to life, people, and doing the right thing. Shirley will be greatly missed, but more importantly she will live on in our hearts forever with all the good memories that she made during her wonderful time with us. We sure will miss that mac and cheese. I love you mom.
