Obituary of Susan Fleming

Susan Elizabeth Fleming died peacefully in hospice care on January 18, 2022. The daughter of Carolyn Mitchelson Childress of Charlottesville, Virginia, and the late Howard William Childress, Jr., Sue was born in Wilmington, Delaware on April 6, 1962. She is also survived by her brothers, James Michael Childress of Free Union, Virginia and Paul William Childress of Raleigh, North Carolina. After finishing high school, Sue caught a ride to Florida where she lived her entire adult life. She was the widow of Lonnie Fleming. Sue loved the beach and the Florida weather and always spent as much time as possible with her group of friends. She was very grateful for their support, especially during her final illness.
