Obituary of Gregory Kenneth Gerhart

Gregory Kenneth Gerhart, “Greg” passed away on November 18, 2021 in St. Petersburg, FL., he was born on December 29, 1960 to Robert A. Gerhart and Mary Irene (Lorenz) Gerhart in Muskegon, MI. Greg grew up in Montague, MI., until his family moved “up North” to Kalkaska, MI., in the summer of 1972.   He graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1979, joined the United States Marine Corp shortly thereafter and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  He was a Corporal upon his honorable discharge in 1982.  Greg returned to school and graduated with an Associates Degree in Technical Engineering in Dallas, TX., and worked for Abbott Laboratories and Roche Diagnostics in Field Service as a Field Service Engineer.  

Greg loved his family, friends, motorcycles, fishing, dogs but, most of all, he loved his son, Troy.

Greg is predeceased by his Father, Robert and is survived by his son, Troy, of Venice, FL., his mother, Mary I. Gerhart, of Bayonet Pointe, FL., his sister, Karen Majercsak of Beaufort, SC, his sister, Sharon Underhill, of Mancelona, MI., and his Grand Dog, Trip of Venice, FL.  

In the near future, Troy will hold a Celebration of Life for his dad in Venice, FL., and at a later date, Greg’s final resting place will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.
