Obituary of Raymond George Weaver

Raymond George Weaver , 84 , of Tampa passed away November 6, 2021 He was born on June 26, 1937 in Hastings, Michigan to E.J. "Johnny" and Bertha Weaver. Raymond graduated from Battlecreek High School. He worked as a machinist, tool cut and grinder at General Electric Plant in Saint Petersburg Fl for 30 years where he took an early retirement at the age of 56. Raymond was an active member of City Life Church Tampa, was in a Senior club at City Life Church, enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to the messages on the Word of God, and watching football. Raymond is proceeded in death by his parents , Edmond Jason Lavern Weaver & Bertha Weaver: and his siblings : Ronald Lavern Weaver, Donald Eugene Weaver, Patricia Ann Weaver and grandson Jeremy Eric Longenette. Raymond is survived by his son Kevin Dean Purvis, Lisa Renee Weaver, Mary Louise Longenette, Ruth Ann Soto and Sibling, Mary Jane Cox. Grandchildren: Shawn Daniel Weaver, Jason Dean Purvis, Christopher Wayne Longenette, Timothy Aaron Longenette, Brittany Ann Marchese, Cortney Nichole Shaw, Alexandra Mariah Watson, Zachary Jay Watson. Great Grandchildren, Dreana, Chasity, Lexi, Ethan, Aiden, Liam, Aaron, Bennett, Carson, Charlotte, Elowyn, and Maverick. Raymond was very independent, reliable, filled with a joyful heart, very committed to his Christian faith and always willing to share many testimonies of what God has done for him. Loved his family dearly and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his church and his church family, enjoyed singing in the church choir, watching the Buccaneers games, and he loved his little dog Tinley. People were attracted to his joyful spirit, his kindness, and positive outlook on life. His gentle spirit and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him . The visitation for Raymond Weaver will take place Thursday November 18, 2021 at A Life Tribute Funeral Care at from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will be at CityLife Church on Friday November 19, 2021 at 10:00am with a Graveside Service to follow at Garden of Memories.
