Obituary of Oliver Ray Dotson

Oliver Ray Dotson ,  85 , of Riverview , Florida  passed away June 16, 2021 at St Joseph's Hospital South. He was born on February 9, 1936 in West Union, West Virginia to Edward and Rachel Dotson. He entered the US Navy in July 1954 and retired as a Chief Gunner's Mate in April 1974. He also worked and retired from Hillsborough County Road Department South Service Unit 3. He was preceded in death by siblings Mary Blake (2004) and Samuel Dotson (2017). Oliver is survived by loving wife Sherry L. Dotson, siblings Agnes Smith, Children Vicki Curtis of California, Dana (Timothy) Ceresoli of Florida, Derek Delgado, Jr. of Florida, Dennis (Ashley) Dotson of Florida, and Angela Otero of Florida, 15 Grandchildren: Alexis, Isabella, Victoria, Kaitlynn, Mason, Ziva, Brianna, Derek, Peyton, Maranda, Josh, Zach, Elissa, Dominick, and Samantha, 5 Great Grandchildren: Sophia, Sylvia, Sydney, Brody, and Mia Tate.

The family will receive friends at A Life Tribute Funeral Care in Largo on Thursday June 24, 2021 from 6:00pm  -  9:00pm. A Funeral services will be on the following day Friday June 25, 2021 at 11 am. Graveside service will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
