Obituary of Marc Vito Melodini

Marc Vito Melodini, 61, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2021, at his home in Largo, Florida.  Born in Pittsburgh on June 26, 1959, to the late Edward Melodini, Sr. and Shirley Kalfas Melodini, he was raised in Hazlewood and Brentwood, graduating from Brentwood High School.  Shortly after graduating, he was severely injured in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury, leaving him disabled at a young age.  He enjoyed warmer climates, dining out, and was a loyal Pittsburgh fan, following the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins from his recliner in his living room or in the company of his good friends, Bill and Cindy Winczer.  Family was important to him and he often spent the holidays up north.  He leaves behind his sister Patricia Melodini (Margaret Heald) of Westminster, Md., brother Edward Melodini, Jr. (Kathy) of Bethel Park, Pa., sister Regina Stelma (John) of Middletown, Md., and sister Elena Charles (Craig) of Dillsburg, Pa.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, 11 great-nieces and great-nephews, and several cousins.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, Kimberly Wysong for taking care of him these past few years.  Although he could be at times difficult, he was a generous person and had a heart of gold, as well as a smile that could melt your heart!  He will be deeply missed.

A private burial at Calvary Cemetery in Hazlewood, Pa. will be held at the convenience of the family. Condolences can be left on our tribute wall.
