Obituary of Dennis Albert Noren

Dennis Albert Noren, 65, was called home to our Lord October 1, 2020.

 

He was born on January 21, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio.

 

He attended St. Joseph the Provider Catholic grade school in Campbell, Ohio and graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1972.  He joined the Boy Scouts of America and proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  He attended Youngstown State University for two years before joining the United States Navy.  In 1975, when the Suez Canal reopened, he was stationed on the cruiser USS Little Rock, the only American naval ship in the convoy.  While based in Gaeta, Italy, he served aboard the Admiral’s flagship as a radar technician.  After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he joined the Army National Guard.

 

Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Mary Louise Lencyk Noren and Albert William Noren.  He is survived by his two daughters, Rachel Lee (Ryan) Unger of New Port Richey, and Madison Taylor Noren of Largo; two granddaughters, Sabreina and Bella, and two sisters, Mary Ann (Roger) McManus of Westfield Center, Ohio and Judy Noren of West Palm Beach.

 

Dennis was a helpful soul and will always be remembered for his caring heart.  He was a true American patriot with love for family and country.  He was an avid sports fan, cheering on his Cleveland Indians, Tampa Bay Rays and Buccaneers!

 

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 24 at 1:00 p.m. at A Life Tribute Funeral Care in Largo, Florida for family and friends to gather.  A military service will follow at 2:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be private.
