Obituary of Karl Godfried Heinze

Heinze, Karl G. "Charlie", 91, of Cranford (and Mountainside), NJ. passed away June 22, 2020 in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Raised in Hoboken, he graduated from Seton Hall University (BS) and Harvard University (MBA).  Karl was a lieutenant in the Navy during the Korean War.  He is preceded in death by his first wife Virginia, and second wife Marja.  Karl is survived by daughters Karen and Diane Heinze, sister Mary Scura, and grandchildren Regina and Adrian Napolitano, and Lucy and Echo Heinze.  Karl took good care of himself allowing him to live independently until the end.  He enjoyed good food and wine, history, reading the WSJ, and travel to 82 countries.  Karl was an executive at Proctor & Gamble and many other companies, and a member of the Harvard Club and the NY Athletic Club.  He wrote Baltic Sagas (2003), and Join the Navy (2009).  We will miss his zest for life, intellect, and keen sense of humor.
