Obituary of Barbara E (Anas) Cort

Barbara E (Anas) Cort of Clearwater FL, passed away on Sunday May 24, 2020 at Largo Medical Center Rehabilitation Hospital, Largo,FL.

Barbara underwent a liver transplant on April 13, 2020, through the generosity of a deceased donor.

 

She was born on September 21, 1943 in Springfield MA to Theodore and Bridget (Betty) Anas. The family moved to Longmeadow, MA and Barbara graduated from Longmeadow High School Class of 1961.

 

She was employed at F.L. Roberts, Springfield MA as Human Resource Manager and Credit Manager before moving to Florida in 1997.  She was employed in Florida with Dana Roehrig and Associates.

 

She then became Office Manager at Forensic Technology Inc of Largo, Florida. She was instrumental in opening the Largo office in February 5, 2001. She worked for 17 years, retiring in June of 2018.

                                                                                                           

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Deborah A. Cort her granddaughter, Bridget Thoni and her constant and dedicated former husband Daniel J. Kuzon all of Florida.

 

She also leaves her sisters, Louise (Anas) Chambers, Carole (Anas) (Robert) Mezzetti of Longmeadow and many dear nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Theodore Chambers

 

She was dedicated to living her life for her family. Her family and friends meant the world to her and she will forever be missed.

 

She encouraged everyone to pursue their dreams and she maintained a positive attitude. She believed how you lived your life and how you treated people made a difference. She believed in working hard and being kind to others.

 

It is through her strong-willed determination and strength that we will continue to find our courage.

 

In life we loved you dearly; in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one else can ever fill. Your legacy and commitment to family will carry on in all of us.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Humane Society of the United States.
