Obituary of Hermogenes Torres Jr.

Torres Jr., Hermogenes, 90, of Largo, went to be with the Lord February 17, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 11, 1929 in Guayama, Puerto Rico to the late Hermogenes Torres and Ines Vazquez. He served 22 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Sgt 1^st Class (E7). He was a Green Beret in the 82^nd Airborne and served in the Special Forces. Hermogenes is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marina G. Torres; children, Lee Torres, Ines Torres, Ana Craig (David), Migdalia Torres, Marcos Torres; and grandson Christopher Cordero-Torres. The memorial service will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at ALife Tribute Funeral Care with interment and military honors following at Bay Pines National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
