Obituary of Kenneth Carlton Vanderwiel

Kenneth C. VanderWiel passed away on January 14, 2019. He is survived by his devoted wife Loretta, two daughters, Gretchen Almind and Alison VanderWiel, a son, Joseph VanderWiel, four stepchildren, Carol Ann Senger, Beth Wolfe, David Parsons and Andrea Parsons, and nine grandchildren. He was born in Sheldon, Iowa on July 3, 1933, and moved to Dayton, Ohio where he spent most of his life. He was a graduate of Fairmount High School and Bowling Green State University of Ohio. He founded and operated several business organizations until retiring in Gulfport, Florida. He was listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in the World. He was a member of the Dayton Engineers Club and served in the U.S. Navy on Guam. Internment is planned at the Bay Pines Veterans Administration National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
