What Makes You Less Expensive?

There are four main reasons why ALifeTribute is able to provide you with tremendous savings.
  1. Many funeral homes maintain huge facilities on large pieces of property. Although you may not use all of their facilities, you still have to help pay for them. ALifeTribute's facility was designed and constructed to maximize use but minimize square footage. By doing so, we can keep overhead down and pass those savings on by keeping prices low.


  2. Since the funeral business is a service industry similar to the hotel, restaurant and other service industries, labor costs are the main factor in determining the overhead expenses of a funeral home. At ALifeTribute, we have designed our services to minimize the overtime of our employees by limiting our hours of operation for our administrative and funeral teams to Monday-Friday between 8AM and 5PM. However, our transfer staff is still available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to handle the transfer of your loved one from the place of death to our facility. Of course, if you need to have a service on the weekend or in the evening we can assist you with those services for a small additional fee.


  3. We do not maintain a large inventory of caskets on the premise. Instead, we have a state-of-the-art virtual selection room. All of our products can be viewed on large flat panel monitors from the comfort of our arrangement suites. Why should you pay for a funeral homes inventory costs? Futhermore, with 7 days a week delivery, availability is never a problem.


  4. Due to our existing infrastructure among our funeral home network, we are able to share certain economies of sale among our chapels, such as administrative support, centralized embalming and cremation facilities, and automotive equipment. This pooling of resources allows us to further control our overhead expenditures and pass additional savings on to you, our valued customers.

Prior to Death

Step 1 - Preplan Your Funeral. Preplanning your funeral in advance is a wonderful way to ensure that you receive the kind of services you desire at a price you and your family can afford. You may contact our preplanning consultant to assist you with the process or you can arrange everything on-line from the comfort of your home.

Step 2 - Select A Payment Plan. Once you have made all your important decisions about the kind of services you desire, the next step is to simply prepay for your funeral is order to "freeze" the cost at today's price. At ALifeTribute, we understand the budgetary constraints that every family experiences therefore, we have a variety of payment options from which you can choose.

Step 3 - Sign Your Prearranged Funeral Agreement. In compliance with Florida law, our preplanning consultant will prepare all the necessary documents for you to execute your preplanning agreement. This agreement will specify in detail the type of service you desire as well as any merchandise or cash advances (i.e. clergy honoraria, music, newspaper notices). If you are arranging everything with us via the Internet, you will receive this agreement in the mail within 5-7 business days. At which time, you will need to sign the agreement and return the appropriate copies to our office.

Following the Death

If you had the foresight to preplan and / or prepay your services, most all of the details are already complete. However, even if you did not preplan the services, ALifeTribute has a simplified process that will make funeral planning easier on your entire family.

Step 1- Call ALifeTribute FuneralCare toll free at (800) 853-3353 any time of the day or night (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) to notify us of the death and to begin the process.

Step 2- Make an appointment to meet with our funeral director. Our expert funeral staff is available to make arrangements Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM.

Step 3- At the arrangement conference, we will help you determine the appropriate way in which to commemorate your loved ones life while keeping the services and merchandise within a budget you can afford.

It's as simple as that.

What Happens To My Money If I Prepay?

ALifeTribute utilizes a specialized product which is designed specifically for the prepayment of funeral expenses. This product is approved by the State of Florida and meets all necessary requirements as set forth by the state's Insurance Commissioner. In keeping with our desire to meet your budgetary needs, this product offers you a variety of payment plans from single payments to ten years.

Furthermore, ALifeTribute FuneralCare is a fully licensed funeral home and operates in compliance with Florida law. Our prearranged funeral plans are regulated and routinely audited by the Department of Financial Services. Therefore you can rest assured that your money is safe and your funeral wishes will be executed as you and your family desire.

What Happens If I Move Elsewhere?

In short, your funeral plans moves with you. Our prepayment product is a portable product in that it goes wherever you go - offering you the maximum in ease and simplicity. Unlike with most funeral providers, there is no need to cancel the contract, wait up to 30 days for a refund and then have to start over from scratch when you reach your new destination. Our preplanning product is accepted throughout the United States, and in most cases, the world.

Are There Other Benefits Available If I Prepay?

Our prepayment product offers you a variety of benefits unavailable in most funeral planning products. Below are some of the benefits that so many families have found to be most beneficial.

1. First Day Coverage - In most cases, when choosing to pay for your funeral expenses over time, you may qualify for first day coverage. Once qualified, you and your family can rest assured knowing that should your death occur during the payment period, your funeral expenses will be paid in full. This is a tremendous financial benefit to both you and your family. However, even if you do not qualify for first day coverage, your family is assured to receive, at a minimum, the full value of every penny you paid into the plan, and often times more.

2. Away From Home Coverage - In every prearrangement policy written, we include at no extra cost a $500 additional death benefit should your death occur 250 miles or more from your primary residence. You may also purchase an additional $500 in coverage, bringing your total away from home protection to $1000, for a one-time fee of $10. Families have found this to be a wonderful feature and a way of helping them to minimize unexpected expenses that arise due to your death away from home.

3. Grandchild Protection - For a one-time fee of $10, you can add grandchild protection to your funeral plan. No one likes to think about the death of their grandchild, nor do we. However, at the time you purchase your prearrangement, you may add this valuable protection that covers all grandchildren - present and future - for up to $2500 in expenses.
